Valentine’s Day, The French Way: Thé des Amants

  • Sharebar

Champagne and chocolates may be les classiques, but this Valentine’s Day the French tea brand Le Palais des Thés introduces another way for gourmand couples to celebrate: sipping his and hers’ Thé des Amants (Lovers’ Tea).

A sensual and spicy elixir created in the most romantic city in the world, Thé des Amants is one of Le Palais des Thés’ “Les Créations,” signature tea blends made with fruits, flowers, and spices. Just in time for February 14th, this all-natural tea (flavored with apple, almond, cinnamon, vanilla, and a hint of ginger) is available in two versions to share with your loved one: for him, Thé des Amants in a full-bodied black tea blend; and for her, Thé des Amants in a lively new green tea mélange.

Matching limited edition boxes (feminine pink and romantic red pour elle, masculine dark blue and uplifting turquoise pour lui) each feature a white heart to be filled in with a lover’s name and a passionate declaration! When placed side by side, the two boxes complete a heart shape with the couple’s story of love.

Parisian Tea Time in NYC

A trip to France is no longer required to taste these exquisite teas. Taste Thé des Amants and meet the tea experts from Le Palais des Thés at a free tasting at Dean and Deluca Soho (560 Broadway at Spring Street) on Monday, February 13th from 4-6 p.m. Available at Dean and Deluca (Soho and Madison Avenue), The Tea and Honey Store (828 Lexington at 63rd Street) and at palaisdesthes.com, $22 per box (each contains a reusable metal canister of 100g/3.5 oz for loose tea); $44 for a set of two.
