It is completely impossible for me to go to Paris and not make a trip to Rue du Montparnasse for crêpes! And I’m sure that each crêperie on this magical little block has it’s own special appeal, but Crêperie Le Petit Josselin at 59, rue du Montparnasse truly has my heart and I am devoted to this beautiful little lace-curtained restaurant.
The galettes (savory crêpes) are buckwheat crêpes filled with spinach, eggs, potatoes, bacon, tomatoes, ham – you name it. If you’re able to keep going after one of these – move on to a sweet crêpe (one of my favorites is the apple & caramel – yes, I ALWAYS have room for a sweet)!
The entire meal must be accompanied by their spectacular (and slightly alcoholic) apple cider.
Dinner at Crêperie Le Petit Josselin is well worth the wait (a queue usually consisting mostly of locals) and will be an evening in Montparnasse you’ll never forget.
By Metro, get off at either station Edgar Quinet or Gare Montparnasse and you’re right there!
